CLASSROOM PROCEDURES:

A white board on the side of the room will list, for each class, the following:

Students are expected to be in their seats by the time the tardy bell rings, with everything they need for class (sharpened pencil, binder with paper, workbook, and completed homework assignment).

Students are expected to take notes in class.  The day’s notes should begin with the focus and essential question and include all the examples reviewed in class.

All homework assignments will be from the workbook (and occasionally from a hand-out).  Textbooks will be used only in the classroom and will not be assigned to individual students.  However, a student may request a copy to keep at home, as long as supplies last.

HOMEWORK:

Homework will be assigned every night except on Fridays and test days.

Homework will be graded as follows:

·          100% - All problems completed on time and work shown.

Students unable to complete assignment due to illness or family emergency need to bring a note from home; the assignment will then be due the next day with no penalty.

Students absent from school need to complete missed assignments within three days.
